So this post is all about Christchurch Armageddon 2013.

It was on March 9th & 10th (Saturday-Sunday) this year at the Addington Raceway.

I went with my little brother Jordan, my partner Stuart, & our friends Becky, Durand, Echius & Stephen.

So this is my cosplay, Stocking Anarchy from Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt.

I did a group photoshoot with another girl I met who was cosplaying as Stocking & her friend who was Panty.

Valentines 2013 (no images, sorry)

I woke up this morning to bagels for breakfast which my boyfriend, Stuart, had brought. He had to go off to work so I went out to the mall with our flatmate, Allan. I had a lovely time :)

Then when Stuart finished work at 5.00pm, he picked me up from home & took me to our favourite Japanese restaurant, Samurai Bowl. The food & service there is amazing. We go there all the time.

Afterwards, we were thinking about what else we wanted to do (it was only 6.30), & we decided to go play Lazer Strike (more commonly known as Lazer Tag). I had never played before, & Stuart used to go all the time before the earthquakes. It had only just open up recently, so we rang our friends Stephen & Echius & they wanted to come with us.

Echius, like me, had never played before, & we had so much fun! I think we're going to make this a weekly event. I underestimated just how tired I was going to get from playing, & because it's MUCH more fun than going to the gym I think this will be my new weekly workout~

Armageddon Cosplay - Very much so underway!

So this will be the first year I will be properly cosplaying  properly, and for those who don't know who I will be, it's STOCKING ANARCHY!

Ever since I watched Panty & Stocking for the first time I knew I wanted to cosplay as Panty~

I brought the wig earlier on this year (in June I think) & my Dad paid for the outfit for my birthday (see review here). All I need to do now is make Stripes I & maybe Strpies II (her swords) & buy some shoes & I'm all set!

Since I don't have any photos of me all dressed up yet here are the stock photos from FM-Anime of the items I brought:

And the wig. This is the 120cm wig, I actually brought the 100cm wig~

Christmas Lights [image heavy]

So this is a VERY late post but I have been quite busy sorry guys OTL

Last month, just after Christmas, Stuart, our friends Stephen & Echius & myself went for a drive to have a look at the local Christmas lights. We had heard of a huge display just outside of town so we decided to head there.

This is an extract from Christmas Wonderland NZ about the light display we went to see:

Last years (2011) show consisted of approx.150,000 lights, 180 multi boxes, 420 extension cables and used 22.5 kw of power.  A search light  also was bought in, in the weeks leading up to Christmas, to help Santa find his way.  Just incase he didn’t see the other 150,000 blinking, flashing, strobing lights – pulsing to the likes of Metallica’s Enter Sandman.The display uses light-o-rama controllers and software, 256 channels are incorporated into the light show. Sequencing took on average 46 hours for a 3 minute lighting show.The list of songs that were sequenced are:Metallica “Enter Sandman”Brian May (Queen) “Resurrection”Emerson Lake & Palmer “Fanfare for the common man”Pat Benitar ” All fired up”Twisted Sister ” Come all ye faithful”Snoopy’s ChristmasAlvan and the chipmunksThere was a song playing with the lights every 6 minutes.
